Hazell Eng contractor scales new heights!!

23/02/2009

Everyone at Hazell would like to congratulate John McLaughlin on his recent assent to the base camp at Mount Everest in aid of the Quarriers charity.

John, along with 15 other intrepid fundraisers successfully completed a 13 day trek over 120km to Everest's base camp in Nepal which sits 17, 600 feet above sea level!!

The total raised by the team was in excess of £50,000!
Quarriers was founded by William Quarrier over 130 years ago to re-home orphaned and destitute children in Scotland.

In Scotland today, thousands of people urgently need support and care to overcome physical, mental or emotional problems, but for many, especially those who are living in poverty, the support they are offered is of a poor quality, or it is simply not available.

Quarries challenge inequality of opportunity and choice, with a key focus of bringing about positive change in people's lives.
